Monthly events - maY

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. please join us for our monthly workshop to welcome our new members and to help both existing and new members with any orchid problems you may have been having with some of your orchids. Matt will be leading this workshop and this month’s workshop will be held at his house (address to be provided to members and their guests when they RSVP to our email kos@konaorchidsociety.org or by otherwise confirming your interest and attendance with one of our board members).

Matt will be helping to diagnose problems you may be having with any problem orchids you bring to the workshop, educating and instructing on treatment methods to address any identified problems, walking you through treatment or providing treatment for those orchids that can be treated during the workshop, and providing examples of prevention vs treatment. He will also be opening his home up one hour early from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. for those who want to check out his lath and shade houses and view some orchids he may have for sale.

Active KOS members are asked to pay $5 ($10 for guests) to go towards bark and other supplies provided by KOS for the workshop including those Matt will be using for treating any problem orchids you bring to the workshop with you. Please bring any tools you believe will be helpful such as torches, gloves, clippers, pots, etc. Members may pay for their attendance in advanced here or in person at the workshop and are asked to pay for guests in person at the workshop.
