Mother’s Day Orchid Show and Sale
Mark your calendars for our biggest event of the year! For 2025 the Mother’s Day Show and Sale will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at the Old Kona Airport Pavilion. The sale is expected to run from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. (subject to change) with Early Bird Special admission possibly available from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. with limited tickets. Regular admission is $2 with all proceeds going to benefit our nonprofit orchid society.
Monthly Meetings & Work Parties
We have monthly Membership meetings on the second Friday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Makua Lani Christian Academy located at 74-4966 Kealakaʻa St., Kailua-Kona, HI. We have a speaker or a hands-on learning event at each meeting, show-and-tell where members can show off their orchids, and an opportunity event where members may win an orchid. We also have monthly “work"-parties” on the fourth Saturday of each month where members can get together for some hands on training and socializing in a less formal setting.
Orchid Island Project
The club has been receiving donation orchids from Island Girl Plant Designs, along with club members, to plant in the community areas of West Hawaii. We do this to give back to the community and to perpetuate the Island nickname "Orchid Isle".
Fall Orchid Show and Sale
Mark your calendars for our first ever Fall Orchid Show and Sale! Our Fall Orchid Show and Sale will be held on Saturday, Sep. 21, 2024 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Old Kona Airport Pavilion. We have limited Early Bird admission tickets available for purchase for $20 by clicking the button below. Early Bird admission gets you admission an hour early at 8 a.m. to beat the crowds and avoid that Kona heat later in the day! Regular admission is $2. The proceeds from our event directly help to sustain our nonprofit orchid society.
